リーベンを買った

今日はクアラールンプルに行った、買い物をした。
一人行った、私いつも一人どこにも行く、楽しいと思う。
今度の木曜日にクラブに行く、でも、まだ予約していない。
たぶん今予約できない、たくさん人から。
今朝は運動した、午後三時ごろ疲れた。そして、寝た。
日曜日は英国に行く、最初の夜ロンドンに泊まる、次の日ニュカスルに行く。
一月五日試験があるから、緊張する。

短い髪

昨日は私はサロンに行った、髪を切った、ちょっと短いです。
でも、かわいいと思う。今日は何も行けません、母は出かけないと言いました。
大変ですね。悲しい。来年の夏休みはマレーシアに帰りたくない。
眠くない、でも、寝たい。

今夜友達のうちに泊まると思います。

昨夜DurhamとSunderlandとNorthumbriaのマレーシアの留学生はニュッカスルに食べに来ました。ままでした。
今朝九時に起きた、母と父と兄は電話をかけました。後で、洗濯した。シインさんはモリソンに行きたいです。でも、わたしはこんやのパーテイ行っておくと思います。モリソンを行かないと思います。
たくさん宿題まだしていません、大変ですね。
昨日買い物を行った、友達のプレゼントを買った、白いのヅレスをあります。友達はこのヅレスのが好きだと思います。

タンーゴのクラスに行った

今日は、十二時に日本語のクラスに行った、宿題をしなかった、忘れました。後で、OACに行った、勉強した、Syntactic Theory はちょっとむ難しいです。友達と昼ごはんを食べた、おなかがすかなかった、ちょっとパンを食べた。
午後四時から五時まで、クラスをあった、面白かったです。
五時半に友達は電話をかけた、チョコレトを飲みに行った。六時半にタンーゴのクラスに行った、とでも面白かったです。私はおとるのが大好きです。
二十九日後で、マレーシアに帰りますよ。切符は買った。すごくうれしいです。兄は十二月二十八日にマレーシアにも帰ります！私はクリスマスは家族と友達と一緒にお祝いと思います。お正月もマレーシアでお祝いですよ。楽しいですね！
今、疲れています、おやすみなさい。

試験は難しくない

今朝はクラスに行った、そのは面白かったです。十二時に試験があった、緊張しました。でも、日本語の試験が難しくないと思いました。二時二日本語クラスの友達と一緒にstudent unionに行った、私はチョコレートを飲みました。おいしかったですよ。あとで、ウナさんとmarketに行った、野菜は買うと思いました。三時ごろ。うちに帰った、コンピュータにつけた、切符をかいたいでした。でも、中国からの切符はとでも高くて、お金がないです。それから、切符は買えないでした。
今宿題もうした、とでも疲れています。

クラスに三時間しか行きません

今朝私は七時ごろ起た、洗濯した、大学に行っておきました。すごく寒いました。
朝御飯はミルクを飲みました。
クラスは九時から十二時まででした。おなかがすいた、シインさんと一緒にパンを食べた、おいしかったですよ。後で、銀行に行った、お金は下ろしました．駅前にりんごが五個買った、あますぎです。
このごろ、寒くなりました、てぷくろは洗った、明日を持ってきてと思います。
昨夜、けんさんは今日バドミンドンを誘った、でも、明日日本語の試験があるので、勉強しなくちゃいけません。スポツをできません。
シューフォンさんはおととい電話をかけた、友達が六人ニューカスルに行くと言っていました。わあ、とてもうれしいです！皆さんは私の誕生日はお祝いです世！

日本語を勉強します

来週火曜日日本語の試験あるので、勉強しなくちゃいけません、大変ですね。
昨日たくさん運動しましたから、とでもつかれた。タンゴのクラスは面白かったです、でもちょっと緊張しました。
シインさんは今日から日曜日までうちに帰りません。明日一人でmorrisonに行きます。
今日はgrainger marketに行く、今夜料理したいですね。Peterの家で料理します。
図書館とstudent unionもいきます。
ああ、ドイツの新聞を買いたいです。

とでも寒いです

昨日友達は私のうちに泊まりました．寝られません、疲れています。
今日は八時半に起きました、母と父はビテオコルをすると思いました。でも、父はコンピューターをつけませんでした、ビデオカルをできませんでした。
午後一時に町に行った、友達を会いました。一緒に昼ごはんを食べに行きました。Nando's の鳥はおいしいかったです。友達はイギリス人です。
午後二時ごろ、映画を見に行きました。This is it 見た、ままでした。
午後六時、ドイツの授業に行った、面白かったです。でも、来週発表をしなくちゃいけません、緊張します。
明日ケンさんはバトミントをしに誘いました。私は運動したいですから、gymに行かなくちゃ行けません。

一課したありませんでした

今日は午前九時から十時までsyntactic theoryのseminarありました。
あとで、スポーツセンタにいきました、スポツをしました。
十二時にgrainger market二野菜を買いに行きました。とても安いでした。
料理したと思いました。私と友達一緒に家に帰りました、昼ごはんを食べました、おいしいかったですね。
今日は元気じゃない、のどが痛いんです。
早くねなくちゃいけません。

Skype with brother and parents

Thanks to this modern technology, four of us were talking together in three different places, it was funny, my mum kept laughing. They received my postcard yesterday, I guess Soon Yee and siew hon got them too.
I was wearing heels, short skirt with thick stockings underneath today cuz of the tango dancing session this evening. painful =(
Tango was really fun. Think I might need a pair of tango shoes, our lecturer is super-pretty, and she got a pair of fabulous heels.
I'm going to move out from this house very soon, to a place which is very near the uni, yay! Save bus ticket.. Our tenancy agreement will end this 26th Nov, Peter and Han Xing are moving in with us as well, theirs will be ended on the 30th same month. We need another person to rent the house, there are five rooms there. Hopefully we can get one before moving in.

Lunch and dinner with friends

Is a Sunday! I went lunch with friends today, cheeky duck at china town.
Went to shop with Rosie, Nisha and Jen.
Dinner at Wokmania, we printed vouchers, and got 2 for 1 prices.
I was a bit too exhausted when I reached home, wanted to prepare for lecture tomorrow, but I wasn't concentrate at all, I did read a few pages of the text, half-understand and half not.
Tossed the book on the table, I picked up my fiction instead, page 286,
I suddenly remember this scene in MPH, this was where I work last summer. There was this Indian girl looking for the book, I'm sure we still left one in store, cuz system showed that and I saw it on the shelf few days ago.
The paperback staff couldn't locate it, and we actually wanted to give up finding.
I went to back office to have a good look, cuz I sensed the Indian girl really want the book and I want to find that for her.
I finally locate it in one of the shrink wrap shelves. =) I think this is the best thing I did last summer. so, she got the book and thanked me~ the name of the book is the time traveler's wife, and that's what I'm reading now.
Ha! I got it only 2.76 pounds, Miss Indian =p

allergy?

page 141, time traveler's wife. that's where I am now, 21:58pm, is a lil' bit earlier to rest. I decided to finish this chapter before I go to bed.
I simply like this sentence, it was from Henry, 'I met Clare for the first time in October, 1991. She met me for the first time in September, 1977: she was six'...full of suspense.
Better get an appointment from GP tomorrow, skin around my lip is swelling, not too bad, but is annoying.. perhaps is allergy.

endless tidying

is been a mess in living room, I have cleaned the kitchen table, sink and swept the floor.
Friends still have their stuff in our living room, there's no point vaccuming.. T T
I texted all of them in one go, urging them collect their stuff asap, was not very good, but I get really annoyed everytime I enter living room.. and all the sauces on the table.. newspaper scattered on the floor.. gosh..
I did laundry this morning, glad that the sun was there to dry up clothes.
the heater is not working properly.. and is already 7 degree C here.. lucky I have all those jackets to warm me up! and warn myself not to overeat.
Syntactic theory tomorrow morning, 10 plus pages, finished =)

Anne Frank Beyond the diary

I didn't sleep too well yesterday night, cuz I was alone in London and the hotel room is in basement, which made it kind of eerie. Took national express back to newcastle this morning, I slept half an hour on the train and managed to finish the book Anne Frank Beyond the diary which I got it the day before yesterday in Manchester Imperial war museum. It gave me an outline of the story wrote by the young Jewish girl whom was killed in second world war by Nazis.
Enrolled to German course after I dropped my suitcase back to my private accommodation. Class start next friday. =) Can't wait to go back uni life, sometimes I admire how organized human can be.
Sent an e-mail to dad, cuz I'm unable to make international call with this number.
MALSOC deeparaya celebration soon, potluck session, I was thinking of garlic mushrooms.. haven't even try to make that before..
I will sleep till the sun rise tomorrow =D

Still small voices

I wanted to type about what I've read today, the white tiger written by Aravind Adiga..
But I've came across this interesting movie still small voices that changed my mind, I'll write about the book review when I finish the book. (not a good book though, involve political parties in India)
The movie, when I took a glimpse from the advertisement, I thought it'd be a horror movie, but was actually not at all..
the main character started having hallucination and hearing voices from a little girl when her newborn baby died.. and the small voices turned out to be herself and that was when she's six years old..rescued by an old man in a fire.. she was then raised up by a worker, and finally met her biological parents at the end of the story.. it sounds quite boring of what I've written, but the story was a success, I like the suspense especially she was actually in the fire rescuing herself..how creepy..
Li borrowed me a dozen books for reading this weekends.. gosh, wondering if I can finish those before I head to Newcastle. Thanks Li =)

Rainy day

lovely weather =)
I've decided to go for a swim today and I've waited long enough for the rain to stop. At around 12pm, I picked up a google from my friend's place and headed to Bandar Sri Damansara'club for a dive.
The downpour started again when I reached there.. how dissapointed, I spent roughly half an hour reading message in a bottle in a cafe upstair the club. The pool was deserted, I wanted to swim alone actually, that's the reason why I went there at the first place, but I wanted someone in the pool.. cuz I'll feel awkward if I'm the one swimming.. nah, I'm not contradicting, swimming with someone you've known and swimming with someone you don't are two different things.. (and the pool was large)
I ordered a nescafe while I was reading the fiction..felt sleepy..the caffeine was not helping at all..I decided to leave though the rain has stopped.. cuz I felt suffocated with my swimsuit on and couldn't concentrate on the fiction. Got home at 2pm, I want to get some sleep...zzzzzzzzzz

A walk to remember

As the prologue written, this book does make me smiled at first and cried later. It was about a girl that had diagnosed leukemia and had been keeping the secret from her loved ones.

On her wedding day, a passage from Corinthians was picked out by her and Langdon. It goes,

One down, two to go

Finally, I finished my Japanese test today =) phew~
I guess I'll type my blog in Japan and English alternately.
Speak of the test.. It wasn't too bad, but I spent too much time scrutinizing the passage and it shortened the time I would spend for my essay.. I guess it'll turn out well (hopefully)
Went to starbucks today with stu, my Japanese classmate, just discovered that he has a twin sister, I was quite surprised because the fact that I have not been meeting alot of siamese twin (is it call like that?) until now.
Went to shopping in Eldon after that, bought a number of stuff, some lingerie, accesories etc.
Exhausted with the heaviness of my shopping bags, I felt asleep between 5pm to 6pm.
Dan texted me and asked me to go to his birthday party at Hancock museum this coming Thursday, I think I'll go and probably snatch some nice pictures =D
few more chapters to go for Jean Aitchison, and I'll start Singh again, and then language topic again... keep the spirit up

マレーシアに帰ります

ひとつ、二つ、三つ、四つ、五つ、六つ、七つ、マレシアに帰ります！
韓国のドラマを見ています。でも、ちょっとつまらなくて、とでも多いと思います。ドラマの名前は妻子的诱惑です。

诗韵さんは出かけています、友達の誕生日だから。ヤプさんも出かけていました、大学にテストをしに行きました。私は部屋で勉強しています、何も行かないつもりです。午後一時ごろ、おなかがすきいたので、スペーゲチをしました。おいしいかったです。
明日は日本語のテストがあります、緊張します。明日試験後でスツワトさんと喫茶店はコーヒーを飲みに行きます。買い物をしたいです。顺怡さんのプレセントまだ買いません。私たちパーテイーに行く決めました。

今晩は料理をしないつもりです。たぶんピザを買います。ピザを食べるのが大好きです。

パーテイーに行きました

昨日はパーテイーに行った、クレモンターワーにありました。
皆の先生はいました。色々の食べ物を食べました。ジョウせんせいはスパニツ料理をもってきた、アナさんはサーラーといちごをもってきた、エミさんはソセージをもってきました。
私はスコンーツを持ってきました。おいしいかったです。そのパーテイーは二時間かかりました。

今日はどこにもいきたくありませんでした。でも、エリさんは電話をかけました。センメーリにいかなくちゃいけませんでした。
後で、フライドポテトをかった、ケチャップも買いました。
午後七時ぐらい证程さんと電話をかけた、三十分ぐらいでした。

土曜日本語のテストがある、緊張します。

踊りました

昨日は一時間踊った、足は痛いんです。おとといはモリーソンに行った、そばのプレゼント（お土産）買った、コーヒーですよ。そばはコーヒーを飲むのが大好きです。スペーゲヂもかいました。

今日はでかけませんでした。うちで勉強したり、ピアノを練習したりしました。来週映画を見たいです。でも、アルバイトをしなくちゃいけません。秀凤さんと彼はらいげつドイツに行きます。

昨日の夜寝ませんでした。コーヒーを飲みすぎた、眠くなかった。それから、今日午後二時間寝ました。＝）
暖かかった、眠かったですね。映画の中で、アトネモンが一番好きです。あとといアトネモンのDVDかった、まっています。

明日はスコンツをつくりたいので、バナナをかいます。
今、眠いです。じゃあ、おやすみなさい。

English historical Linguistics

Been studying this subject for the past few weeks, is not difficult to understand though, but I shuddered when I took a glimpse of the past year papers..The questions themselves are incomprehensible for me.. got me into dilemma. Just a minute before, I was happy that I'm able to handle fifteen century text in the last chapter of the textbook, it sounded, 'cam in to an hows and axed for mete and specyally he axyd after eggs. And the good wyf answerde that she could speke no frenshe. And the merchaunt was angry for he also coude speke no frenshe, but woulde haue hadded egges and she vnderstode hym not.' The translation of this small chunks of text is fairly simple, It was a story about a merchant that had his ship stopped at the River Thames of London, and went down to get some meat and eggs. Eventually, the lady couldn't understand (vnderstode, 'v' in front and 'u' in the middle, often mixed up by the fifteenth century people) a single word he uttered, and claimed that she doesn't speak French... It's significant that people during that period have accent variation due to the lack of media, unlike now, mutual intelligibility is high.

semester 2006/2007. The first question went, 'English and Italian are genetically related languages' make clear what is meant by this statement.. I was like 'wtf?' (I don't learn Italian!)Apart from they are having the same ancestor, which was Proto-Indo-European, I've nothing in my mind... what a disaster..
Atonement brings calm to me.. at least I enjoy digressing Ian McEwan fiction in this rainy day, I'd say it is more difficult compare to my text.. I'll keep repeating those lines in my mind if I can't catch the meaning of that sentence.. Imagination refresh my mind, I can start seeing how the characters dance, the way they talk, and even smell the faint perfume in the air..

うちで勉強します

今日は何も行きませんでした。うちで勉強しています。
洗濯するので、疲れています。靴も洗いました。ジヤガイモを食べるのが大好きです。
昼ごはんは、ジャガイモを食べました。わたしのルームメートは料理しました、おいしかったです。
午後雨が降った、寒かったです。来週勉強するつもります。いい成績とりたいです。
明日も何も行きません。クラスがぜんぜんありません。
五月三十日日本語のテストがあります、勉強しなくちゃいけません。緊張します。
時計を解体で、私の時計はなくしましたから。

Study study study

I first met this bunch of teenager in the bus station near Fenham, well..frankly speaking, I don't really like to mix with them, cuz some of their behaviour are nasty.. But they won't harm you if you speak English.. and from those conversations we hold, I noticed that their lines do contain Northern features, such as 'Ay' for 'yes', and 'yous' as in plural you (standard English don't differentiate that) Not bad to study linguistics here, cuz I can always do experiment whenever and wherever. =)
My first exam fall on the 30th of May, written Japanese test.. another two will be on the 3rd and 4th of June respectively. Historical linguistics and Language topics, I think the latter will be easier to handle as the former consists of two textbooks.
Went to dye and cut my hair yesterday in city centre, I chose a dark-brown colour, but it turned out to be completely black, and is even blackish than my natural hair color... wth..
We had our very first Malaysian society meetings yesterday (the new batch of commitees).Some of us will be flying back to KL, and will take part in the pre-departure session in KL (Last year was in KL Hilton) Well, I do hope that by becoming one of the commitee members will sharpen my communication skill (to persuade ppl for sponsorship, indeed a very challenging task)

Brother's book reached my doorstep today, an extremely heavy text! Need to get a D&G sunglass for my cousin sis as well.. Despite the fact that I spent too much on Burberry, I decided not to buy iPod touch this year, think I'll get an iPhone the following year =) Mummy and daddy will be coming to England this September, will rent a car and drive to Scotland, can't wait.

踊りました

今日はクラスがありませんで、父と母と兄は二時間話しました。
ピアノを練習しました、面白かったです。今、ピアノを弾く知ります。
おとといバーバリーにいきた、ジャケットとスカフとベルトとかばんをかいました。
四百ポンドグライでした。とでも高かったですが、きれいです。
今朝パンとチスと野菜を食べました。午後何も食べませんでした。
今晩ハンコクムセウムで踊りました。まあまあでした。
たくさん人がいますから、ちょっと緊張しました。
二十三日後で、マレシーアに帰ります！

聞く練習しています

おとといザ・ボディショップに行きました。たくさん化粧品を買いました。高いでしたが、幸せでした。その女の人は’あなたの目がきれいです’と言っていました。
昨日日本のクラスが二つあります。作文は忘れたので、今日は作文を持ってこなくちゃいけません。
ピアノを練習した、面白いでした。
二十九日後でマレーシアに帰えって、幸せです。
今日は日本の聞く試験があるんです、大変ですね。とでも緊張します。
まだ朝ごはんを食べていません、おなかがすきます。
明日は湖水地方に旅行しに行きます。皆は七時半バスで湖水地方まで行きます。
私はたくさんお土産を買いたいで、マレーシアの友達プレゼントだと思います。

金曜日試験があります

今日はちょっと寒かったです。晴れじゃない。
今週は日本の試験があって、とでも緊張します。
日本のワークブックと英語の歴史を勉強しなくちゃいけません。

ふっとているので、ダイットしなくちゃいけません。月曜日父は誕生日ありました。プレゼントを買いました。父はプレゼントをもらったと思います。
お弁当をもってきていました。パンとチスとサァミたべました、おいしくなかったです。

明日六時半ぐらいはインドダンス踊るに行きます。

いい天気ですよ

今日は水曜日です。十七度で、ちょっと暖かいです。今日は一時間クラスに行きました、少しですよ。
今日は昼ごはんチーズたべました、まあまあでした。
午後三時ぐらいに、診療所にいきました。後で、友達は私の作文をまりました。
難しくて、面白いです。
イギリスじんはとでもていねいないいかたいと思います。よく’おはよう’と’ありがとう’と言っています。
金曜日に映画を見るつもりです。今月は忙しいです、テストがありますから。
六月に私のうちに帰ります！幸せです！

liquors

Read from somewhere, UK's population rank the most bad drinking habit in Europe. It's so easy to get liquor at supermarket.
After my third attempt (which turn out to a big success) baking scones, me and my flatmate, Yap, went to the supermarket that near our place. We wanted to buy a cake for Si Yieng, is her birthday today~ We bought a green colour cake (cuz is Si Yieng's favourite color) it looks a bit weird, but nevermind that.
I want to buy some healthy food, cuz been some time I didn't cook veggie. Bought a cucumber and a fish~ =)
there was this big section that sale liquor, I was standing in front of a pile of whiskey. An old couples approached, I was so concentrate in reading the labels that I didn't notice their appearance..With a laughing tone, the old man asked if I want to purchase the whole shelves, cuz I was blocking them..lolz.. I said 'I never drink, but it's good to give it a try.' Then Yap appeared and he went 'she's a liar'... All of us were laughing.. British ppl are funny yet friendly. they can strike a conversation with you at anytime... and is always start with the weather..
I ended up buying 7 bottles of liquor.. Mateus Rose from Portugese, Stowell from Italy, Santerra from Spain, Blue Nun from Germany, Heineken from Amsterdam and scotch whiskey from Scotland. My flatmate addressed me alcoholic.. (No! cuz was 4 for five pounds!) Another Rose for Si Yieng. =D
Am going to a play called 'An Inspector Calls' in Theatre Royal with Si Yieng and Hazirah.
But before that, I'm going to study Japanese.

Hotpot

This morning woke up around 8 sumthing as usual~
We synchronized one hour ahead several days ago, cuz of the arrival of summer~
My dad called, but I didn't pick up the phone, I guess they were busy and that was why I didn't see them online. I borrowed Yap's phone, he owns a skype phone, more convenient.
My dad said he's driving home to skype with me, mummy has gone to Rawang to visit uncle.
sometimes I think I'm spoilt by them.. Dad sent money to me again..
Cleaned the kitchen today, was so going to Morisson to get a broom, but my flatmate told me that the landlady was coming today..
around 6 sumthing, went to have hotpot with my colleagues, they paid for me.. haha
was delicious.. There were these group of teenagers right outside my house, one of the girls asked me where did i get my jacket (a white short cardigan) with her very heavy Geordie accent, she told me is very nice..I'm a lil' flattered ~
This Sunday going to Metro centre to change Euro currency, I'm planning to visit Sir Ling in US end of this year, but I have to apply visa in order to get there.. so tedious. Is getting warmer and warmer, I just wore a long sleeve-shirt and a short jacket plus a short.. was a bit chilling.. yet was cooling.
Can't wait till next Thursday. =)

Iced Latte in Costa

This morning two of my flatmates and me went jogging around the residential area, been ages since I last jog with friends. The sun shined =) felt great, sweat alot.. should have working out like that.
Worked from 12-3pm, quite few customers today, i think is due to the construction right in front of the restaurant.. and it will last for three weeks..
went to shopping today!! I bought a pair of flowered printed shoes from H&M, is the most beautiful shoes that I've ever laid my eyes upon.. I'd rather treat it as a decorative item than a shoe.. lolz..call me crazy..I've already hung the shoes on my wall.
bought a knitwear from MKone, I just realized it doesn't suit me at all..I'm going to have that change tomorrow.. it's black and white stripped, wondered y i thought it's nice at the first place..
Next thing, an iced latte in Costa Rica, my friend told me that these coffee chain stores are more famous than Starbucks in UK.. well..for me is just another cafe, but i still prefer Starbucks Dark Cherry Mocha. =D

Unable to get a seat near windows (That's my habit to look at passenger while sipping my drinks), I opt for a seat near the stairs, indulged myself in a book I borrowed from library, Never Push When It Says Pull..It's a really funny non-fiction..
One of the examples that fall under the topic 'How to...live cleanly'..It goes 'Remember, you should never smoke in bed but, if you do, make sure you have a pints (alcohol) at the same time because it's much harder to set fire to a wet bed..'
I started to smile like a completely idiot in front of a non-living thing.. Realized of this action..I started to fumble my handbag to search for pen and paper.. wanna write diary or mayb another Harry-Potter-kind-of fiction? But my wish didn't success cuz I didn't bring any pen.. or else I might be the next J.K. Rowling.. haha..

Easter holiday!

Yay!
Finally Easter hols is here! I'm heading to Germany this 9th of April~ landing at Frankfurt and going to visit Sin Mei at Manheim =) she planned to take us around Heidelberg and the places around there, Speyer and Schwetzingen.
These few days are quite productive..After our big success in Malaysian Night a fortnight ago, I miss having Indian dance practice with the girls. We had a sumptuous dinner in Soloman's restaurant, a treat for all performers and volunteers, very nice indeed.
Went to an Italian restaurant few days ago, Marco Polo. the decor is fantastic.
Went to movie yesterday with Si Yieng, Bernard and Kai Yan. Shopaholic, an interesting one. would recommend to every girls that love shoes and bags.. That was too exaggerated, but after the movie, I didn't feel I'm akin of the main character though, and i realize that I don't even have enough heels in my wardrobe! Should get more...
Bought a 20 pounds top that day..It's victoria flower print.. just love it~
Today is my day off, went to Norman's place to have lunch..I cooked veggie, egg soup and tofu..
Went to Morrison to buy toilet papers, bought purple primrose flowers =)
Met my Japanese classmate and her girlfriend there..I oways feel warm to talk to them..is like my family in UK. he gave us a ride back to our home..
Me and Si Yieng figured out how to bake scones and it turned out a big success! No doubt..=p
I oways feel that I can be a good cooker (mayb just my illusion), genes that inherited by my mother.. Mayb i should cook heathier food more frequent~ We brought some scones for Chao-San and Michiko-San~
stayed back a little while for tea. they invited us to asagohan (breakfast) this coming Thursday~ wow.. can try Michiko cooking skill again~
Am having sore throat these few days..have hoarse voice..but it's gettin' better now =)
can't wait to Germany =D

Deutsch wiederholen

Habe sechs Monate nicht Detsch gelesen und gesprochen.
Ich muss meine Deutsch wiederholen und verbessern. Letzte Wochen habe ich ein Mann in meiner Englisch Klasse, er Name ist Micheal, kommt aus Deutschland.
Er ist sehr groβ. Fühlt er Überrashen wann ich Deutsch gesprochen, aber nicht mehr, ich habe meist Deutsch vergessen...
Heute arbeitet ich in No. 1 Restaurant, nicht mehr Gast am Samstag. nicht so beschäftigt als Gestern.
Ich interessiere mich in Historische, hätte ein Buch 'The First World War' (Die erste Krieg) von die Bibliothek geliehen.
Heute möchte ich auch Japanische wiederholen, ich habe eine Prüfung nächste Donnerstag.
Morgen gehe ich mit alle Chinesische Freuden nach Quayside, Bernard's Geburtstag feiern.

情人节

我同事阿祥问我‘情人节打什么工呀？’

今天从十二点打工打到六点~郁闷~
今早msn收到了个简单又温馨的祝福。。突然想起他的那句话。。
‘你怕哦？那我再驾快点。。’好坏。。
每年的这个日子，我会往后想一年，到底去年情人节怎样过。。
嗯。。记得去年有个马来同学向我示好，我当时吓坏了。。哈哈。。
都二十一了，初吻还没给还真有点失败。。
妈说我要求太高了。。我却说她太严了。。
纽卡情人节一点气氛也没有，一整天下来，没看见人收花。。
庄婕和徐晗来我们店吃火锅，我们三人一起过情人节的晚上~ 还蛮不错~

回到家on msn,我马来西亚的朋友透露一个惊人的内幕，他猜测有天晚上我们一个香港的男生朋友到一个中国女生朋友的房间过夜。。他相信他们俩谈心谈了一个晚上。。
哈哈，这个人还真天真。。最近发现他们俩真的在一起了~ 有少少惊讶~
明天还得去练舞兼打工~

Shower at Sports centre

Due to the water flowing problem in our shower room, I decided to go to sports centre to take my shower today, can't stand the 'oilyness' on my hair anymore.. I try not to wash hair in three days cuz whever I wash, I drop loads of hair.. this is actually quite common among my friends~ Had my favourite chicken bake from Greggs as lunch, I left my cola at OLD 3.18a, bought a chocolate milkshake as well =)
Met Rosita( my best budd from HK) on my way to Henderson, we were chatting the whole time,
and she decided to have dinner with all of us. Unfortunately, Yan yan, Xu han and Zhuang Jie not around today~ I haven't seen them since last week~
Rosita actually wanted to stay overnight at my place today, but later she found out that her friend is in depression, so has to ffk me.
The walking path today is very slippery, the snow haven't completely melted yet, though I was taking caution when walking, I nearly fell down once..
Tomorrow working! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Writing for humanities class

I came to know that the Spanish couple that have been staying in Henderson Hall are taking Historical Linguistics as well, met them at our usual seminar today~
Went to Goose with Si Yieng, I ordered Smothered Chicken, delicious =) and was filling~
past my 2 hours break in the lovely pub (they serve lunch every afternoon)
Headed to Merz Court to my writing class, met a new friend today, she's from France, a very pretty girl indeed, she speaks English in a very heavy French accent. Miss Eleonor raised a question and asked her to answer. After finish answering, the guy in front wrote a phrase and hold up to her, it went 'Ton accent est genial!'
I've no idea what it supposed to mean, she translated to me.. 'You have a great accent!'
Now now, I'm learning French as well! A big advantage to attend classes which consist of international students~ We have Russian students too! Mayb next time I'll opt for sitting beside one of them!
Went to Henderson Hall, it surprised me that the hong kong guy I've been befriended with came to hug me..no wonder my mum said hong kong ppl open-minded-la.. but I've been in a state of suspicious that he is gay..haha

Lion dance at China town

Start working at 12pm, the best thing working at a restaurant is, you don't have to worry about your food, 3 meals are provided.
Today was a disaster, customers kept flocking in..cuz there was a show along the china town street, and there were ppl everywer.. Twice the lion dance groupee entered our restaurant, and my manager already have two cabbages (or lettuce?) that contained an angpow each prepared~
This is the day I got to feel the real Chinese New Year atmosphere in Newcastle, not bad~~
Work till 6pm non-stop..the crowd started to fade around 4pm, phew~
my leg ached..
Back home to do revision, I finish reading the part that tomorrow lecture will cover~ the content is really interesting, I got to know the event 'Hillsborough disaster' which resulted 95 people died of compressive aphyxia in a football match.
It happened in Newcastle here as well, several years ago, a football fan was killed after a match. Last week, there was some riots happened outside the restaurant Tian Tian, which was quite closed by to where I work. Agressive football fans......
I got an angpow from my manager, a generously 5 pounds note =)

A visit to Khadija's place

I was slacking on my bed and reluctant to get up.. the consequence was =nearly late to class..
I've set some principle for myself..we will see if it's work
principle 1: never skip class.
2: sleep at 11pm
3:always finish the homeworks.
4:do dishes everytime finish eating.
haha..hope I can accomplish all these goals.
As the title said, I went to my Libya friend's home today, she's a lovely Muslim girl, I bought flowers to her (the second time I bought flower to someone, 1st time was my primary school teacher) She start boiling water, preparing cookies, muffins, cakes..all stuff..there was only two of us.. She looks really different without her scarf~
can't finish that much.. and she claimed that in her culture if the guests don't touch the food at all signify that they don't like the food.. and I had to break my diet rules.. T T
We headed to city centre after that, went to a Halal restaurant called Al-Basha, nice decoration..
excellent food! She took care of the bill.. I'm going to bring her to try some chinese cuisine next time~

COLD

Woke up at 9am, today my family unable to video call with me, cuz they were having gathering at my auntie's place. I thought lecture start at 11am today, got dressed and waited for Si Yieng around 10 sumthing..
She descended the stair at the same time and asked me why I had my boots on and bags slinged on my shoulder, I later realized that our lecture start only at 1pm..That's stupid..I was following Tuesday time-table..
Heavy snowfall out there.. I saw Yap footprint on the snow but they were disappear within 10 minutes cuz of the non-stop snowfall..Awful weather...
My feet were soaked cuz my boots are not water proof.. T T
Have to get a new one tmr.
Hip hop and Jazz dance class was brill. can't wait till the next lesson..
Bought a long-sleeve shirt from Next today..is pretty =)

Work work work

Video called with family as usual.. the problem of video call everyday is i can't seem to find any topic.. but my mum has a lot of them.. haha
The book language and region arrived today~ =)
Played PS2 with dance mat, i think this tool is quite useful to lose weight~
Start working at 3pm, our restaurant was packed with customers, even the staff table was occupied, work till 6pm, my manager asked me to continue my work but I refused to do so..have to study! I met my Taiwan senior when I was about to leave home, he said I look thinner now.. GLAD to hear that!
After a sumptuous dinner in our working place, headed home and had a hot shower~~
Studied a chapter of language change, is basically about how the language change in a big city, New York and a small island, Martha's vineyard in America..I wonder why we have to focus more on American English change since we are in UK..
Tomorrow have to work from 12pm..

Japanese teacher with Kumi Sensei

Our new Japanese teacher Kumi Sensei speaks fluent English compare to the last one.. I stated the conversation with 'Sensei wa otearai o doko desuka.' (Where is the toilet) and she started speaking Japanese with me, which i hardly understand.. Daysh Building is a maze..I didn't manage to find the toilet, and straightaway went to class.. T T
First INTO listening and speaking lesson, majority of them are doing master and PhD, apparently, I am the youngest in the class, the two students on my either side already have two children respectively. I do find this class interesting, cuz I got to know different culture and ppl from different background. To my surprise, there's this guy whom also from Malaysia, and he's staying with his kids and wife here, a small small world~~
Ah Heng has gone back to Aber, transit in Manchester and will stay there for one night, me and Marwin sent him off in metro station. Hope he'll have a good time in Manchester~

First seminar for Historical Linguistics

My family had a CNY celebration at our home today and invited relatives..which is obvious that I'm the only one unable to turn up.. Struggling with homesickness, I focus on studying these few days..
Reached King George building quite earlier this morning, there were students still inside having lesson, I borrowed the required textbook 'Language change: Progree or decay?' 2nd edition from Robinson library though I know is actually the third edition that we have to study.. (3rd edition is unavailable in the library at the moment) Stupid amazon, took so long to deliver the book to my doorstep..
Attended English writing class from 1 to 3pm. Unsurprisingly, majority Asian students were there, and a few from Europe and Russian, I believe none of the Britons sign up for these classes since English is their mother tongue..
Headed to library after the class, started to read the fiction 'Beyond Ugly' again.. is quiet in library since all of the students finished their exams last week. I took a glimpse out of the library window, enjoy the scenery, simply love English-style building, red-bricks building.. the night falls when five o'clock approached, and I noticed that today is unusually misty.. visibility is extremely low, all I could see from the opposite building were only the lights..
Stepped out from the library, cold wind welcomed me.. On my journey to bus station, I met a Malaysian girl (she always wear a sweet smile on her face) whom I can't remember her name, we chat awhile, she hurried along to church then.. and I continue my way for dinner~~

Exhausted

Yesterday Jazz and hip hop class was awesome..but the consequence...
muscles pain.. T T I regret that I slept late last night, started to doze off at lecture hall today..
I'll make it an early night today.. 10:30 straight to bed!
Finished my seminars exercises before 10, wonderful, so I still half an hour to read fiction, Beyond Ugly, written by the author I mentioned b4, Constance Briscoe.
This semester actually have fewer classes compare to the previous one, but I've just signed up non-credit bearing English classes for writing, speaking and listening, which add four more hours in my time-table.. mou bin..have to improve my fluency..
My mum told me our home will have open house tomorrow..pity me..have to stay here..
Bernard shared his Pineapple tart with us, that's from Malaysia, his mum sent to him, I never know pineapple tart taste that good......

跟往常一样，九点正跟家人视频。我爸妈还不知道我在打工，也没打算要让他们懂。。
去图书馆借了三本下学期要用的简介。好重。。 TT
昨天寄了high school musical 的日记给表妹，她一定会喜欢。
六点上班，九点半下班。
没有想象中累。还有精力温习功课=）我想上了大学的人都会发奋吧。。
也许这里也没有大马那么多诱惑，没有找朋友去mamak的机会。。而且天气又冷，所以最舒服的地方只有两个，图书馆和寝室~
就这样读书也慢慢成了我的一部分~~

Nature Of Language

3 down one to go..tht's my last paper, nature of language. Is an open book test on the day after tomorrow, glad that it will be over soon. My manager called yesterday to inform me that I have working schedule this coming Wednesday and Saturday, 6-9 and 5-9 respectively.
Earning pounds again~~ =D
Well..I guess that is nothing more joyful to spend the money you earn, signifying the beginning of independent life.. I'm going to spend those money on my food...and clothes, high heels =)
I have been putting on weight since i was here and now I'm on diet..eating less and less,
glad that my weight decrease significantly when i was standing on the weighing scale last night ..
Was studying NOL whole day (I did lack a bit and played guitar hero this afternoon)
I finished all the chapters before 10, which means that i can sit back and relax for Sunday night.(10 is still early) watching Gossip Girl from the first episode again..
just like the storyline..love-hate relationship..
Going to purchase 'Beyond Ugly' written by Constance Briscoe, is a very sad story of the author, and she was studying in Newcastle for her lawyer degree.. I finished Ugly, the preceding story of this and hopefully i manage to find some time to write a book's review.

Study for exams

Three of us were staying indoor the whole day.. studying for exams~
Love today breakfast~~ it was muffin with egg (just like McDonald's breakfast) and crunchy nut with milk. =) delicious.. i think those that studying at overseas and have to cook for themselves will improve their cooking skill tremendously~ have to cook every day.. i kinda love cooking now~
video call with parents as usual (everyday at 9am)
I was heating my Quiche in the oven this afternoon when the alarm triggered.. forgot to close the kitchen's door..luckily it was just awhile.. my flatmate, Yap, rushed down, wanted to open the door and let the smoke flow through..but when he reached basement the alarm stopped d,, haha..
My bank statement finally reached Henderson Hall, been waiting for weeks, need that to settle something..
Had spagetti with lasagne sauce as dinner.. Cooked some bacons, hams and mushrooms to mix with that dishes~ left several chapters to go before exams, ga yao~~~

Morrisons

Woke up at 9o'clock as usual. Didn't really have appetite to take breakfast.. But I did eat a piece of bread..
Continue studying till 2 sumthing, Jennifer was bek yesternight, we walked to Morrisons around 2pm. The veggie is really expensive there, should have get some from Grainger market..
sum of all groceries was 13.08 pounds, spent the money i earned last week.. =)
glad to do so, cuz I am able to earn pounds and feed myself now! =D
Btw, i need to lose weight..mummy said I look fatter since I got here... T T
Went to sports centre to enrol for Jazz and hip-hop dancing class..commence on this coming 26th..looking forward to~~
Received a letter from Soon Yee..! HAPPY..didn't realize the big letter laid on the tea table until her big handwrting caught my eyes~~
I'm going to save money for dad'd b'day present, most probably will buy a bluetooth mouse for him, as for my brother, a model of anime will do, mum? I can celebrate with her during summer hols.! HAHA.. Miss my family members~~

Work at Newcastle Chinatown

Work at a foreign country~ sounds intriguing, huh? Not at all..is really tiring..
I want to earn money to cover my living expenses, although my dad provided sufficient amount of money..don't feel like using his..I'm old enuf to earn money to feed myself..
HOWEVER, I'll stop working once I feel I can't cope with studies..
The restaurant I'm working now named No. 1 Buffet restaurant, nice Chinese food..
the best thing is we don't have to worry our meals if we work here..can eat whatever we like.. haha =) I love the swiss rolls!
Was suppose to work till six today, due to the large amount of customers, manager asked me to stay back till 7. At around 7, my manager asked me if I want to work till nine..cuz was really packed that time..but I refused to.. I have to do revision and my feet were so painful =(
Reached home around 8 sumthing..played guitar hero for a while, took a nice and warm shower ~~
I saw this advertisement saying that some dance classes will be held from 24th Jan onwards..
I think I'll apply for Jazz and hip hop.. though the only dance I had learned up till now is ballet..
just giv something new a try! Si Yieng and Jin rong might be going too~~

Finished the long-winded essay

Yay!!
Finally, after much effort, I finished this bloody essay..takes me four days to write 2000 words..
Tomorrow have my first test in this U, which is a Japanese test.. have faith!
Today was quite warm..unusual warm I must say..as i walked down the path from Robinson Library, the wind was not blowing as hard as usual, a comfortable day~
I miss home..like i always do..and sometime it hurts a bit..
But I enjoy the freedom I have now, no more nagging, and no curfew..
Actually, I really dun fancy going out late here, besides the coldness, it costs a lot to club..
I'd rather save the money and go travel or buy nice clothes. or sometime pamper myself with Starbucks Dark Cherry Mocha, my latest favourite drinks =) Love the nut taste..
Tomorrow night will go for badminton, long time din exercise, need some stretching!
these two weeks for exams! I'll definitely study hard this time!
tomorrow will go international office to apply for the student exchange programme despite mummy protest, it will be a great experience to go another country~

we are required to write 2000 words..
My brother is heading to University of South Australia this coming July, best wishes to him. I noticed that Newcastle University has this Erasmus student exchange programme, and us first year can choose to further our studies outside UK for one semester, a duration for 3 months,
I am going to international office tomorrow to apply to go University of Adelaide for 2010 February, the school of linguistics is in North Terrace, which is a stone's throw towards my brother's campus =) Tht sounds good, and i do hope that i can experience a new study environment, though is just a brief period.
Last Christmas was the best Christmas i have ever have, London was brilliant, breathtaking, awesome, ...you name it. I have even bought a '10 top places in London', planning to go visit there soon...
have already get used to this chilling weather.. they said is toughest to experience the first winter..but when it pass, the next winter is just easy-peasy..
Lose weight!! I have gain pounds since I was here..I'm going to watch out what I put inside my mouth..no more high calories , high carbohydrate..!!
